We need different types of leaders now than we did pre-Covid and before the ongoing wars. Many CEOs don’t have the motivation and capabilities to operate successfully in this new environment. They’re either leaving voluntarily or being told their time is up by their boards. The estimated cost of poor CEO transitions in S&P 1500 firms? One trillion USD annually. Firms need to get CEO succession right.
